Your privacy and data protection are priorities for Frelaa ("Platform", "we", "us"). This Privacy Policy ("Policy") transparently describes how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when using our services. By registering and using the Platform, you ("User") agree to the practices described in this Policy.

1. What Information Do We Collect and Why?

We collect strictly necessary data to operate the platform and connect talent to opportunities. This includes:

• Identification and Registration Data: First name, last name, email, password (encrypted), Tax ID/Document, and country. We collect this data to create and protect your account, and to comply with tax and security obligations in Transactions.
• Public Profile Data: Profile photo, cover photo, username, bio, about, experiences, portfolio, categories, and ratings received. This data is collected so you can present yourself to the community and be found by other users.
• Transaction Data: Information about plan subscriptions, project payments, and withdrawal requests. We do not store sensitive credit card data; it is processed directly by our payment partners (gateways), which have security certification.
• Communication Data: Messages exchanged with other users through our internal chat. We collect this data to provide conversation history and for moderation and dispute resolution purposes.
• Technical and Usage Data: IP address, browser type, device information, and data about your interaction with the platform (pages visited, clicks). We use this data to ensure platform security, analyze usage, identify bugs, and improve our services.

2. How We Use Your Information (Legal Basis)

The use of your data is primarily for the execution of the service contract between you and Frelaa. We use your information to:

• Operate the Platform: Enable profile creation, publication of demands, submission of proposals, and connection between users.
• Process Payments: Facilitate secure financial transactions between Hirers and Freelancers through our payment gateways.
• Communication: Send transactional notifications (e.g., new message, proposal received, payment approved) and marketing (with opt-out option) via email and push notifications.
• Security: Prevent fraud, verify user identity, and ensure platform security.
• Improvement and Personalization: Analyze usage data in an aggregated and anonymous way to understand user behavior, perform tests, and develop new features.
• Artificial Intelligence: We use AI services (such as Google Gemini) to assist in content creation (project descriptions, questions). No personally identifiable data is sent to train third-party AI models without your explicit consent.

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use essential cookies for the platform to function (e.g., keeping your login session) and analytics and marketing cookies (e.g., Google Analytics) to understand how you use the site and to show relevant ads. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings.

4. Who Do We Share Your Data With?

Data confidentiality is essential. We do not sell your personal information. Sharing only occurs when necessary:

• With Other Platform Users: Your public profile (name, photo, portfolio, etc.) is visible so that work connections can happen. Your private contact information (email, ID) is not shared.
• With Service Providers (Processors): We share data with companies that help us operate, such as payment gateways (Efí Bank), email providers, and cloud hosting services. These partners are contractually obligated to protect your data.
• For Legal Compliance: We may share data if required by a court order or to protect our legal rights, safety, and property.
• International Data Transfer: Our servers and those of our partners may be located outside Brazil. By using the platform, you agree to the transfer of your data to these locations, which may have different data protection laws, but we ensure our partners offer an adequate level of protection.

5. Your Rights as a Data Subject (LGPD/GDPR)

In compliance with the General Data Protection Law (LGPD), you have the right to:

• Confirmation and Access: Request confirmation of the existence of processing and access to your data.
• Correction: Correct incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data at any time through the profile and settings page.
• Anonymization, Blocking, or Deletion: Request anonymization, blocking, or deletion of unnecessary data or data processed in non-compliance with the law.
• Portability: Request the portability of your data to another service provider.
• Deletion (Right to be Forgotten): Request the deletion of your processed personal data. This can be done through the "Delete Account" function in your Settings. Note that, due to legal and tax obligations, we may retain certain Transaction information for a set period.
• Revocation of Consent: Revoke your consent at any time.

6. Security and Data Retention

We adopt technical and organizational measures to protect your data. Your password is stored in encrypted form (hash) and we do not have access to it. We will retain your data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including legal obligations.

7. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes through a notice on the platform or by email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Policy.
